Daisy Riley Boutique

The evening was hosted by Daisy Riley, a cute and sassy little boutique in historic Plymouth, Massachusetts that has handbags, accessories, jewelry and the most fabulous clothing lines that flatter your shape but are easy to care for and travel with.

Brenda Loan of the Centennial Financial Group gave wise investment tips for women who want to secure their financial futures or who just want to plan their “island getaway” for the next snowy winter! She did a great job despite having a terrible cold!  Brenda does a great job building confidence even in these tough times and shares her insider knowledge to make financial planning understandable for anyone.  Among the pearls of wisdom she teaches are:

• How to take charge of your financial life by learning to make educated financial decisions
• How to do financial “spring cleaning”
• How to plan for your financial goals from a woman’s perspective

The Style Clinic

Sue Carchidi of the Style Clinic showed us how to step into spring, fashion forward and sporting the latest trends in reasonable ways.  New floral prints, stripes big and small and that little white dress…no challenge for Sue is too big!  She showed the group how to wear different wardrobe combinations based on your own figure shape.  She has encouraged me to go out and get a little stripped outfit!  Sue is an expert on:

• Getting a jump start on new spring fashion
• Traveling light and packing your perfect wardrobe
• Using a few key wardrobe pieces and making many outfits out of them

Then I gave a tutorial on finding your perfect makeup look for any age.  My focus was discovering the beauty of any age, and playing up your own unique features.  I did a 5 minute makeover on a volunteer and featured:

• How cosmetics can be your best accessory
• The importance of skin care (my secrets) and proper care of your cosmetics

Cape Cod Makeup Artist Kimberly Richard

During the makeup application, I combined a plum eyeliner with some soft contour to blend perfectly with the “model’s” beautiful silver hair and fair skin — it rocked!

We played to a full house and had to add chairs to accommodate everyone who came for great ideas, good wine and delicious appetizers.
